Are you experiencing difficulty latching your baby? Do you have sore nipples, low milk supply, oversupply, engorgement, plugged ducts or mastitis? Is your baby slow to gain weight? Do you suspect that your baby may have a tongue and/or lip tie? Do you need help with pumping? These issues, among others, can be addressed during an Initial Consultation.
These appointments are for families who have already had an Initial Consultation and would benefit from more assistance. Often, circumstances have changed and more support is needed.
Are you returning to work but want to continue breastfeeding and expressing your milk? We can work together to devise a manageable plan for maintaining a breastfeeding relationship and working.
Are you an expectant parent who would like to know more about breastfeeding? We can work together to get you off to a great start. You will learn the basics of breastfeeding and when to ask for help if needed. Prenatal breastfeeding education leads to better outcomes and longer maintenance of breastfeeding.
Insurance
Embrace Lactation partners with The Lactation Network (TLN) to bill insurance plans directly. Up to 6 lactation consultations, including prenatal visits, can be pre-approved for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (Horizon BCBS PPO, Anthem BCBS PPO, and out-of-state BCBS plans), Cigna PPO, United Health Care (UHC) including HMO plans, and possibly other health insurance plans. Pre-approved visits are covered at 100% and TLN will bill your insurance plan directly. If you do not receive approval from TLN, payment will be collected at the time of your consultation and a Super Bill will be provided for you to submit to your health insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Embrace Lactation is an in-network provider with Aetna, which covers up to 6 lactation consultations, including prenatal visits at no charge to you. If you and/or your baby are covered by Aetna insurance, we will bill for our services directly with Aetna.
